To know if DBWServer is running, you can check the option @OK_DBWSERVER (read-only option).
It is equal to "1" if both DBWServer is running and the related option in the Environment→DBWServer page is checked
So, an AUTOEXEC.VBS script could check for this option and make any necessary action
