Preview of Virtual Components
Mechworks PDM inlcudes a support for components resulting from a SolidWorks [Make Virtual] command.
If the Virtual Components are created for managing different configurations of the same component, so just altering assembly specific positions of the component itself inside the assembly (for example adapting a flexible BELT for fitting other components in the assembly), may be they are created starting from already registered components, with unique IDs in the database.
In such case, if the ID of the base component and the first token of the ID of the Virtual Component are in match, then DBWorks is now able to display the preview of the base component.
