Add Component

The command Add Component is visible in menus only when a drawing or an assembly is open and is the current document in the CAD. With this command, the selected element is added to the CAD current assembly or drawing.

Insert a Base Part

The Add Component . functionality is also available when a Part is active and a Part is choosen from the Browser: MechworksPDM inserts the selected Part as Base Part of the currently opened and activated Part.
