Pop-up menus: introduction

RMB menus (pop-up menus)

MechworksPDM displays for each of its items, either in trees, grids or also in the CAD interface a popup menu with all the commands available given the location, the type of document, the current options, your current user rights.

Aside from the variables that influence the visibility of menu entries, MechworksPDM maintains wide consistency across the interface elements and all menus contain common commands, as Open or Check out.

If you 'miss' a menu entry in your popup menus, check your rights, the current options and the current state of the document.

The menu entries are displayed in the help graphically, almost as real menus, to reproduce a natural environment for a Windows user. Moving the mouse over the entries you'll see a short description of the command, clicking you'll open the topic where the command is explained in depth.

The menus are grouped by location and documents. To look for a specific command, you can use the help index.

The entries in the rmb menus can be hidden through the DBWPopupHiddenCmds.TXT parameter file.
