MechworksDPM and SolidWorks cut lists
MechworksPDM scans the part looking for internal bodies and once found it creates new part fake records as children of the current part.
An interesting feature of this management is the ability to apply a filter both on the part file name and on the body part name, so that only the preselected parts will be scanned and only the bodies that match a name pattern will be taken into consideration.
Both filters are available as string constants in the first lines of the script and can be easily identified and edited.
MechworksPDM performs also a calculation of the length for each of the bodies and stores the value in the LENGTH field.
Note that the total length of the parts and of the assemblies is correctly calculated in the BOM.
