Approve
Approve (without passing through Edit, Revision, Approve).
This entry is a shortcut.
It is possible to directly approve the selected Drawing using this menu entry.
Mechworks PDM switches automatically on the 1st level child document with the same state and revision, and starts the approve sequence from the child document.
The message
"Cannot approve from a drawing
because of the part/assembly record must be updated
before the drawing's variant notes are resolved.
You must select the part/assembly and approve it.In order to approve from a drawing you may use the function
'Approve the Drawing and the Linked Document'"
is no longer displayed in such case.
The Approve entry is available also for checkedout records (STATE=BEING_MODIFIED): if run on a checkedout record it automatically performs first a checkin and then an approve action on the record. This allows to fill in the Checkin Input Form before the Approve. Of course it is possible to avoid the Checkin Input Form by setting the proper option in the User Interface options section.
