MechworksPDM helps you to keep track of your projects and navigate through parts,assemblies and drawings with a direct, tidy parent/child approach.

With MechworksPDM you have a clear view of the project as a whole as well as detailed information for all its components. A simple and intuitive interface lets you browse and see at a glance what parts belong to the assembly you're working on as well as where else this part belongs to. All the windows in the different interfaces update each other dynamically.

Contextual popup menus guide you to the options available allowing you to manage the structure of your project, open a CAD document, print it, increment its revision state, submit to the workflow, etc.

You can store into the database all your current documents automatically scanning the directory where they are located (also through Registration Wizard). All their custom properties are read and the information saved in the database.

Each time you save a document, MechworksPDM allows you to store with it further information, including the possibility to save automatically all the parts that compose your assembly but were previously stored in separate CAD documents. You needn't indicate which documents to save as you can yield complete control of your data storage to the application.

MechworksPDM allows you to enclose external items to your project: PDF documents, text notes, Office Documents, AutoCAD files, sketches or whatever sort of document can help you to keep track of your ideas and your work (or share it with your team).
For BOMs (Bill of Material) you can also create fake documents (Entries for the BOM) that allows you a complete management of the product purchase/development.

After saving a CAD document, the information automatically stored into the database accompanies you all along the creation of your project and it is automatically updated as you modify your documents. MechworksPDM being integrated seamlessly in the CAD environment, you are able to access any information quickly and go back to your creation task, avoiding loss of time and concentration.

A system of revisions, advanced in its features yet light on your disk and optimized for time saving allows you to store and recall all previous releases for any sort of document (also external) as well as synchronize and coordinate your team's work.
You can check out documents on the server or locally, keeping your test modifications hidden until you decide to chack the document back in.

With the enclosed SaveWizard ensure that your file system is organized in a simple and logical way for all you team mates. Documents can be opened directly from the main view of MechworksPDM or quickly found with the help of a wizard that will ask the questions you want it to.

MechworksPDM will become the nerve centre of your project: once you get to work with it efficiency becomes an effortless goal to reach. MechworksPDM is not simply a data retrieval system but rather a project explorer and organizer.
